Hello Lightfoot Families! I am so excited to welcome you all back to our brand new library! I can't wait to share our new picture books with students and help them participate in fun and crafty library activities. I'm especially looking forward to cultivating a love for reading in each and every one of our Leopards.
Our PTO sponsors a motivating and rewarding accelerated reading (AR) program. Students can earn incentives each marking period for meeting their AR Goal.
Our school participates in the district-wide Battle of the Books (BOB). This program is for students in 3rd-5th grade. BOB is a voluntary reading incentive program for students in grades 3-5. The purpose is to encourage students to read good literature from different genres (students read books from a BOB list assigned to their grade level). During the "battle” students will practice good sportsmanship, leadership skills, and have lots of fun! Please feel free to reach out to the CPL Library with any questions!
