Hello CPL Families,

The Lightfoot Library is a special place to be. Students will read, craft and have full access to library resources! We are especially looking forward to cultivating a love for reading in each and every one of our Leopards.

Accelerated Reading Program

Our PTO sponsors a motivating and rewarding accelerated reading (AR) program. Students can earn incentives each marking period for meeting their AR Goal.

2024-2025 Accelerated Reader Incentive Program This school year Lightfoot will have a motivating AR program with six week sessions. Students will start fresh and work toward a new individualized goal each session. The schedule of incentives and events are listed below. Every student in grades 1- 5 that meets his or her goal for the session wil receive the incentive. Battle of the Books

Our school participates in the district-wide Battle of the Books (BOB). This program is for students in 3rd-5th grade. BOB is a voluntary reading incentive program for students in grades 3-5. The purpose is to encourage students to read good literature from different genres (students read books from a BOB list assigned to their grade level). During the "battle” students will practice good sportsmanship, leadership skills, and have lots of fun! Please feel free to reach out to the CPL Library with any questions!
